This picture was actually taken a week later at the Estero Beach Tournament. Wonder WomenThe annual International Surf Festival 6 person Volleyball tournament in Manhattan Beach is lots and lots of fun.  Most teams dress up.  It's more like a party than an actual tournament, although there are very good players, including AVP players that play in this tournament every year.

If I could catch a rainbow
I would do it just for you
and share with you its beauty
on the days you're feeling blue
If I could build a mountain
you could call your very own
a place to find serenity
a place to be alone
If I could take your troubles
I would toss them into the sea
but all these things I'm finding
are impossible for me
I cannot build a mountain
or catch a rainbow fair
but let me be what I know best
a friend that's always there.

Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another:
What! You, too? Thought I was the only one.
- Clive Staples Lewis, novelist and essayist (1898-1963)

Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our
wings have trouble remembering how to fly.

Flatter me, and I may not believe you. Criticize me, and I may not like you.
Ignore me, and I may not forgive you. Encourage me, and I will not forget you.

- William Arthur Ward

Be mindful that happiness is not based on possessions, power, or prestige,
but on relationships with people you love and respect.
